2012 Giuseppe Rinaldi, 'Tre Tine' Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy
$449.99
A harmonious blend from three historic crus—Cannubi San Lorenzo, Ravera, and Le Coste—this traditional Barolo expression showcases Giuseppe Rinaldi’s unwavering devotion to method and terroir. Wild-fermented with extended skin contact (often 30–50 days) and matured for approximately 42 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling with no filtration or fining.
Now fully into its drinking window, the 2012 displays lifted aromatics of pressed rose, red cherry, and savory herb, framed by tight acidity and refined, energetic tannins. It balances intensity and grace—more floral and approachable than Brunate, with clear structure and ageworthiness built in.
Produced in very limited quantity by a producer who avoids modern intervention, this is pure, traditional Nebbiolo from one of Barolo’s most enduring estates.
