2020 Domaine Jean-Claude Credoz Cotes du Jura Selection France
$41.00
Grape Varieties: 90% Chardonnay and 10% Savagnin (aged Savagnin from a 4-
year-old batch)
Terroir: Blue marl soils dating back to the Lias epoch
Cultivation Method: Vines have been undergoing organic conversion for several
years
Certified as "In Conversion to Organic" since late 2019
Vinification: Manual harvesting with a yield of approximately 35 hl/ha
A Chardonnay aged *ouillé* (topped up) for over two years serves to soften the
intensity of the Savagnin, which was aged *sous voile* (under a veil of yeast) in
barrels for four years. These two grape varieties are blended together at the time
of bottling.
This specific selection yields a wine with greater structure and distinct aromas of
walnuts and almonds.
