2021 Azienda Vitivinicola Tiberio 'Colle Vota' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
$145.00
Tiberio’s Colle Vota is a singular Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, sourced from a high-altitude, single vineyard planted in 2000 with massal selections from the estate’s oldest vines. The unique microclimate and limestone-rich soils yield smaller, thicker-skinned grapes, resulting in a wine that’s perfumed, refined, and light on its feet—more reminiscent of great Pinot Noir or Nebbiolo than traditional Montepulciano. Hand-harvested in late October, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged entirely in tank before bottling unfined and unfiltered, it’s vibrant and pure, with bright red fruit, spice, and a long, saline finish.
