This wine comes exclusively from the Contrada Passofonduto. The vines were planted by Giuseppe between 2015 and 2017 are are all trained in alberello. The soil is calcareous clay with a heavy presence of gypsum. The altitude varies from 180 to 380m and the exposition is west/north-west. A favorable range of temperatures (night/day) is guaranteed from the nearby Platani River and adjacent forests.
Winemaking:
This wine is 90% Nero d'Avola and 10% Nerello Mascalese. The grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed and macerated for six days. S02 is added in small doses at press and at racking.
