2021 The Color Collector Gamay, Willamette Valley, Oregon
$57.99
My purest expression of 2021 Gamay, this wine has an electric energy and all the mouth-watering juiciness Gamay does best. Bright red fruit is held on a tightrope with crunchy acidity giving the wine levity and precision.
It comes from a 500L puncheon barrel that stood out to me as special every time I tasted it over its 10-month élevage. Since this single barrel was so consistently unique and complete that I had to bottle it on its own, there are only 50 cases. It is a wine I believe will evolve in your cellar for years to come, but it is delicious fresh and young as well.
