This cuvée is produced from parcels in the Vosne-Romanée sector classified as Bourgogne, planted to old-vine Pinot Noir on shallow clay-limestone soils typical of the lower slope. The domaine farms biodynamically, with meticulous hand work and low yields. All fruit is hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard before being mostly destemmed (with a small proportion of whole clusters depending on stem ripeness). Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats, using gentle extraction and temperature control. Élevage is carried out in French oak barrels with a modest percentage of new wood, and the wine is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve purity and texture.
