Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir

Vineyard:

2022 blends Chardonnay from Flower Power Vineyard, Grape Ink’s own vineyard that was prepared using wildflowers, and
Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are from the neighboring Merten vineyard. Both farmed organically. Wind Blown Loess over Volcanic Basalt, 10–30 years old vines.

2021 Merten Vineyard, Willamette Valley AVA, 1000ft elevation. The site neighbors Jarad’s own property and has been farmed with his help. Practicing organics.

Making of: Hand harvested. The blend of grapes co-fermented outdoors, directly in the vineyard, for 21–30 days. Using an infusion technique, similar to steeping tea, the whole clusters soak together in Chardonnay juice, as if making an orange wine.   Unfined and unfiltered, SO2 only 15ppm at bottling.

Personality: light, bright & delicious! Very light hue of red, high aromatics associated with each varietal, coupled with texture from long periods of full cluster maceration. Nebbioso is a textural piece that is woven together with acidity and light pure tannins. Subtle aromas of black currant, raspberry and leather, low ABV. Intentionally wild and unusual, this is one of Jarad’s experimental wines.
