For the very first time, a full Malbec grapes red wine at Ormiale. Fully aged in 9 dames-jeannes in the Saint Emilion grotto. Superb cherry nose, the black cherries at early spring, not over matured. Sharp and soooooooo Malbec! A great Malbec from a hot summer on beautiful soil done in the most neutral and caring way.
Making of: the grapes are hand-picked and hand-destemmed. Freshly-pressed merlot juice is added before fermentation. Fermented spontaneously in fiberglass containers and aged in 9 dames-jeannes in Fabrice’s Saint Emilion grotto. Bottled by hand directly from the barrel, unfined, unfiltered, with no added SO2.
