Vineyard Area: The Chassagne Rouge comes from gently sloped vines in Les Battaudes near Santenay (first planted in 1961).

Soil: Deep clay-limestone soils

Elevation: 225 meters

Exposure: Southeast

Vinification: Manual harvest, no added yeasts or enzymes, cold and very slow fermentations (late-occurring Malo)

Maturation: 18 months in barrels of previous wines, fined and filtered only when necessary

Wines arrive mid-to-late November, 2025.
