100% Godello sourced from 9 hectares planted on red clay and alluvial stones, from two vineyard sources. A small portion of fruit in this wine is from a vineyard in Valtuille plantd in the 1980s; but the majority of the blend (85%+) is from Raúl's estate vineyard in Cacabelos, which was planted in 1906. Harvested early for maximum freshness, fermented spontaneously and raised for about a year in neutral 225-500L French and Austrian barrels and 2500L foudres. It is also Raúl's first white wine to go through full malolactic fermentation.

This wine resembles Burgundy as much as Bierzo - rich, textured, with beautiful chamomile flower and frangipane aromas. An extraordinary value to see estate fruit in this "entry-level" bottling, a unique aspect of the 2023 vintage.
