The 2025er Enkircher Steffensberg Riesling Auslese Im Löwenbaum was made from slightly botrytized fruit harvested on old vines still trained on single pole in this prime Lieu-Dit at the heart of the Steffensberg and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a ripe and very attractive nose of exotic fruits (mango, ripe pineapple, guava), honeyed ripe yellow peach, William pear, quince, and acacia. The wine proves fully sweet and quite rich on the palate, where delicately smooth and over-ripe elements come through. The finish is intense, even slightly broad, yet beautifully fresh and lively. This is a wonderful Auslese. 2035-2075 - MFW
