Small batch release of Fukano Japanese Whisky created in collaboration with Women Who Whisky to celebrate the career of Chizuru Fukano, the former Managing Director of Fukano Distillery · Chizuru started at Fukano in 1990 as a volunteer tour guide and retired in 2018 after 28 years of service to the distillery · Distilled from 100% rice (malted and unmalted) in a stainless-steel pot still · Matured in used oak, Manzanilla sherry, and red wine casks; non-age statement · A nose of sun-ripened raspberries, earthy rooibos tea, and a bright note of green strawberry & hyacinth ushers in a palate of allspice, lightly stewed golden plums, and a hint of thyme. Dry, evergreen forest notes transition to a finish of oxidized rose and a strong undernote of cacao and coffee with milk. · Non-chill filtered; 41% ABV · 3000 bottles produced
