Vincent Laval (Georges Laval) Cumieres Premier “Vignes de Mon Oncle” Cru Brut Nature, Champagne, France (2022)

$165.00

Tiny by Champagne standards, Lavals wines are as difficult to find as they are unique and delicious. His newest sparkling 'Vignes de Mon Oncle” - a show stopping wine - are from vines he purchased from his uncle. Giving us all a touch more Laval to go around.

The wine itself was one of my favorites on the trip. Built from both Pinots and Chard, though longtime fans will immediately recognize the pomaceous signature similarly seen in his pure Chardonnay bottling Les Chenes. It's delicious fruit quality is underpinned by the savory spice of the pinot. It comes together without dosage. It's a brilliant bottle of wine that I can't recommend highly enough. Unlike most of the wines it is labeled under 'Vincent Laval,' not Georges Laval.
