Prized across the Mediterranean in antiquity, Mallorcan wine had fallen into near obscurity by the 20th century...but today, a remarkable revival is underway. Join us for a tour through the recultivation and rediscovery of the island’s distinctive indigenous grape varieties, where a unique climate that blends sundrenched vineyards, cool sea breezes and a singular limestone composition to produce elegant, fresh and vibrant wines made for summer drinking.

All experience levels are welcome (you just need to be 21+)! Please no gum, mints, or strong perfumes.

Simon GC is a veteran of the New York City restaurant landscape, having worked for Bobby Flay and Laurence Kretchmer as beverage director at Mesa Grill, Bar Americain and Gato. Simon specializes in Spanish wine and is particularly enamored with the creative and engaging wines coming out of modern Galicia. Before landing in wine, Simon worked in Options Trading on the NY Mercantile Exchange trading floor and as a political reporter after receiving a journalism degree from Brooklyn College.
Simon has taught Spain modules for the American Sommelier Association and consulted on beverage programs from fine dining to airport hospitality. When he’s not working, you’re likely to find him on the softball field, at a poker table or at home with his amazing wife Arielle and son Miles.
