Released to mark the 90th anniversary of the house, this special-edition whisky blends carefully selected single malts and grain whiskies from Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Aging includes a measure of rare, long-cellared casks (some up to 30 years old) matured in oak and sherry butts before blend assembly. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and bears no age statement (NAS). The result is layered and elegant—dried tropical fruit, white chocolate and orange peel on the nose; cinnamon, dark malt and cedar on the palate, carried by fine-textured oak and a long, polished finish with subtle smoke and salted caramel. Releases were extremely limited, making this a collector’s whisky built for reflection rather than everyday drinking.
