About this experience

We haven’t been shy about our excitement around Pierre-Henri Rougeot’s work. He’s put in hard work to elevate his family's Burgundy domaine, and he's making some of the finest new wines coming out of Burgundy (especially via his small, personal micro-négoce project).

After wine school in Beaune and a year working the vineyards for Ettiene de Montille, Pierre-Henri landed a job with an artisan cooper. There, he was exposed to top cellars (like DRC and Ganevat), sparking a desire to explore a low intervention approach to winemaking.

The rest is history (which you'll hear all about!): with access to fruit from different parts of Burgundy, he’s able to flex a truly deft hand in making transparent, terroir driven wines. For more, read our Journal:

Chris Leon is the owner and wine director of Leon & Son Wine and Spirits.

When opening Leon & Son, Chris knew that hospitality extends beyond the walls of a restaurant and set out to create a warm and generous guest experience. He also sought to highlight domestic producers he came to love out West, while representing benchmark wines from around the world.
