2023 Les Dolomies Cotes du Jura 'La Chaux' Chardonnay, France
$58.00
The plot is located in Nevy-sur-Seille at the beginning of the Baume-les-Messieurs valley, on a very steep hillside with a large limestone scree covering the marly slopes (Lias marls). There is little topsoil due to the abundance of stones in the first few centimeters. Southwest facing.
This Chardonnay spent 18 months in 400L oak barrels after completing alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in tanks. It was sulfited with 1.5g/L of SO2 at racking, one month before bottling at the end of June 2025, and was not filtered.
