2023 Weingut Daniel Vollenweider Riesling Trocken 'Felsenfest', Mosel, Germany
$26.00
The 2022er Felsenfest, as it is simply written on the consumer label, is a just off-dry wine made from fruit harvested in the Kröver Steffensberg (2/3), the Trarbacher Schlossberg (1/6), and on young vines in the Wolfer Goldgrube (1/6). The wine offers a gorgeous even if backward nose made of citrusy elements, pear, cardamom, whipped cream, earthy spices, and some herbs. It is nicely balanced on the palate and leaves a beautifully intense and nicely tart feel in the long and juicy finish. This cruises far above the usual levels of Estate wines! - Mosel Fine Wine
