• Dry farmed clone 95, 76 & 548 (RV), mixed of 12 field selections and clones (SA)
• Planted on volcanic basalt soil 3309, 101-14 and RG rootstocks
• Vines are spaced at 7x4ft at approximately 650 – 750ft altitude on gentle slopes
Vintage Notes
• The 2024 Winter and Spring were cool (tracking 2019)
• July warmed up considerably with perfectly dry weather, and we had the now customary
bursts of heat in August
• The weather cooled down from late-August, more so than 2023, which allowed for a more
gentle post-veraison ripening
• This allowed the harvest date to be a bit later, while retaining freshness and tension
