2025 Vollenweider 'Würzelecht' Riesling Goldgrube Kabinett Mosel, Germany

This is sourced from all estate fruit, all certified organic, all hand-harvested from the same parcel as the classic Goldgrube Kabinett. However, within this site lies an extraordinary mosaic of tiny sub-parcels—some no larger than 100 square meters—shaped over generations by our predecessors, who cultivated and planted them differently over time. Here, ungrafted and grafted vines coexist, each reflecting a different chapter in the vineyard’s long history. The wurzelecht selection, much like the dry Reiler wurzelecht, is a strict selection drawn from the oldest ungrafted vines within this parcel. It represents the purest expression of this historic site. In the glass, it is immensely fine-boned and delicately structured—almost ethereal in its precision.
